Wandered the streets early this morning in search of milk. Fooled into thinking that every shop would be open since there are two 24 hour bagel shops on the street. First I walked to the nearest newsagent only to find it closed. Then another. And another. I walked all the way to Taj Stores to find its shutters down. I walked along Princelett Street, destined to be destroyed by Crossrail, only to find the newsagent near there was also closed. In the drizzle I walked up to Bethnal Green Road to find all shops closed there. Eventually I gave in to the ever present lure of the Bagel Shop which has milk. Sadly I was short ten pence.

In return for knowledge about Shoreditch tube station a man gave me the ten pence I needed and we had milk for breakfast.
