Just been reading this article on the BBC about a foiled terrorist plot. Sounds a bit phony to me. The expert doesn’t seem to think that this chemical they wanted to use would be terribly bad. So were these a bunch of incompetants (in which case, how afraid should we really be)?

Yes, there are terrorist acts taking place, but I am a bit suspicious about some of the success stories we are hearing in the media. Is this a rerun of the ricin stuff from last year.

I am strongly of the belief that the government is far more concerned about appearing to be tough on terrorism than it is in actually safeguarding ordinary citizens.
