Paulin turned up shortly after, and I stood in the back if the pickup whilst Vitali drove like a skilful maniac up the mountain to the campsite. That guy can really drive! At one point he took the pickup over a bridge that I swear was narrower than the axle! He was driving down narrow paths at speed! Amazing.
We arrived at the campsite as the last rays of light licked over the side of the mountain. I hurriedly erected my tent, and then we sat around a fire chatting about links, the proposed route to the top of Kili that will go right past the campsite, and the mess of the computers at Uru School. Over a few beers. I probably shouldn’t have had the beer I had.
