In Moshi there is a hotel called the Coffee Tree Hotel. The first time I visited this establishment was in 1991. As a 16 year old we were excited to be served Malibu and Fanta by a women with the largest most undulating buttocks we had ever seen. It became our favourite drinking den, and continued to be a haunt of mine on return trips to Moshi.

It being such a feature of my previous experiences I decided it would be a good meeting point when meeting up with people we hadn’t met before in Moshi
